If you are a potato lover then these CRISPY AIR FRIED POTATOES are for you! I still can’t get over them, they turned out to be so insanely delicious. I can’t ever think of cooking potatoes any other way. They just got emptied from the dining table in minutes and I had to make another batch for my family. I am not simply hyping this up, trust me you will love it.

They are perfect for any occasion, if you are hosting a party you can simply rely on crispy air fried potatoes as starter or if you just want a tea time snack to binge on with your family or enjoy a match with your friends this is a perfect appetiser. Let’s dive in and quickly make these potatoes!

HOW TO MAKE CRISPY AIR FRIED POTATOES?

To make the potatoes really crispy from the outside and tender from the inside, boil them in hot boiling water for 8 to 10 minutes. Drain the water and transfer the potatoes into a clean dish. Season the potatoes with some paprika, red chilli flakes, garlic powder, cumin powder, salt, dried parsley and some olive oil. Toss them well and air fry the potatoes in the air fryer at 200 degree celsius for 30 to 40 minutes, make sure to flip sides in between. Enjoy with the dip!

THE DIPPING SAUCE

I wanted to keep this very simply and delicious! All you need to make this dipping sauce is some sour cream, garlic powder, salt and some dried parsley. If you don’t have dried parsley then you can use some freshly chopped parsley or coriander. Mix all the ingredients and you have a delicious dipping sauce to go with the crispy air fried potatoes!

Ingredients
  

FOR POTATOES

  • 600 grams Baby potatoes
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Chilli flakes
  • 1 tsp Cumin powder
  • 1 tsp Dried parsley optional
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil

DIPPING SAUCE

  • 150 ml Sour cream
  • 1.5 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Dried parsley
  • Salt to taste

Instructions
 

  • Wash and scrub the baby potatoes thoroughly to remove any dirt. Pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel.
  • Add the clean potatoes, into a pot with hot boiling water and boil for 8 to 10 minutes.
  • Drain the water and transfer the potatoes into a clean bowl.
  • Drizzle the potatoes with olive oil. Toss them to ensure they are evenly coated with the oil.
  • Season the potatoes with salt, paprika, red chilli flakes, cumin powder, garlic powder and dried parsley. Toss again to coat the potatoes evenly with the seasoning.
  • Preheat your air fryer to around 400°F (200°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
  • Once the air fryer is preheated, arrange the potatoes in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding to ensure even cooking and crispy results. You may need to cook them in batches if your air fryer is small.
  • Air fry the potatoes at 400°F (200°C) for about 30 to 40 minutes, flipping sides halfway through to ensure they cook evenly on all sides. Cooking time may vary depending on the size of your potatoes and the desired level of crispiness.
  • Once cooked to your liking, remove the potatoes from the air fryer. They should be golden brown and crispy on the outside and tender on the inside when done.
  • For the dipping sauce in a small bowl, mix together sour cream, garlic powder, salt and dried parsley. Enjoy the crispy potatoes with the dipping sauce.
